2012-2012 VERINSUR (Waste management): In-Company Training LCA and Carbon Footprint

The challenge of our client

Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and establishing the legal framework for waste management in the European Union. This directive regulates explicitly national legislation and policies generation with an hierarchy to follow in waste management routes.

This hierarchy is mandatory but waste managers may propose procedures and protocols not provided by the directive. In order to justify other waste management routes LCA studies are required. Verinsur wanted to make contact with LCA methodology to incorporate it into their decision-making strategy.
